The Voice of the Scarlets will be missed :: 30 Mar 14:15

There has been some amazing talent that has graced the grounds of Stradey Park and Parc y Scarlets. The majority have worn red shirts and run with a rugby ball. But one unsung member of that band of people held a microphone and made the grounds a warm and welcoming place with his dulcet tones.
It is with sadness that when we sit photographing the game at Parc y Scarlets we will no longer hear ‘The Voice’
Monro Walters’ sudden passing has left a massive rugby void.
Many will remember Monro’s father, Glyn, on the microphone at Stradey Park and then in 1995 the apprentice took over the role of sorcerer with great aplomb.
I would like to send my condolences to his wife, Maxine, and the rest of the family.
We will continue to hear the announcements at Parc y Scarlets but I will always hear them in the voice of Monro.

Gorffwys mewn hedd.
